I am getting the error

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_loaded() (previously declared in /home/bite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-loader.php:62) in /home/bite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress_original/bp-loader.php on line 63
But the site is till working and the buddypress menu is up and running correctly. the plugin is showing inactive.
Please help.
