Hi, Yesterday we moved our Database to a new server, After which the site seems to be working fine but the Sitewide activity widget stopped working it stopped at the update before the migration.
Any idea what might be wrong?

    Thanks
    Manoj

    That’s a 3rd-party plugin by Buddydev.com:
    http://buddydev.com/buddypress/buddypress-sitewide-activity-widget-for-buddypress-1-2-and-above/

I’d recommend you post on their site to get support.

Well I dont think its the plugin problem, I dont think the wp_bp_activity table is being updated.

A good way to check if the activity component is working is to disable the sitewide activity widget and then use the regular activity form to post.

See if activity posting works then. If it doesn’t try repairing the wp_bp_activity_table in the DB.

well I checked the table directly and the last post is the old post nothing after that

I skipped the part that said you moved your DB to a new server.

Make sure your wp-config.php has the correct information with regards to your DB host.

Yes it does, because the entire site is running of that server everything seems to be working except the activity

Did you try repairing the wp_bp_activity table?

    Gotcha.

Sounds like a timezone issue. Your server might need to be set to the correct timezone. Also try manually setting the timezone in the WordPress admin area:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_General_SubPanel

Thats already set, I again re-applied the setting, it still doesn’t work.

What is already set? The WordPress timezone or your server’s timezone?

Your server’s timezone is different; get a system admin to verify that the server timezone is correct.

both Server timezone and the wordpress timezone, both are same.

What version of BuddyPress are you running?

sorry got busy in the weekend, ok I resolved one issue.
i.e. Now it started updating again, The problem was on the new mysql server, Strict mode was on.

Now the problem is there is a delay of 6hrs before it gets updated. Definitely a time issue, But not sure where, because the time all looks to be correct.
