Running BP 1.2.5.2 on WP 3.0.1

I need clarification on a potential issue with how forum topics and replies post in forums and activity areas. When any of our members post a new topic, the topic also posts in our activity page as well as on the forum page. When another member replies to the topic via the forum page, the reply will post on the activity page. Yet when a member posts his or her reply via the activity page, the reply posts under the original post on the activity page, but the reply does not show up on the forum page and does not get counted either, nor does the post time refresh. Is this unusual? We tried disabling plugins. Any advice appreciated. http://www.canyoncrittr.com

as expected – you can disable activity commenting on forum topics/replies via wp-admin buddypress settings.

each forum topic/reply excerpt is logged in the activity stream linking back to the appropriate forum topic. the activity stream has a separate functionality for commenting as well.
