Hi I’ve changed some of the labels and messages and so on in the PO file. Now I have to create the MO file.. but don’t know where I’m meant to run the command line??

I’m running Buddypress with xampp.. a local installation. The tut is geared towards the site being online :<
Iv’e tried to play around with Putty to no avial, (can’t connect to my localhost..), created a .mo file using poedit but now im getting errors..

Can I use fireftp or what, this is really annoying as I’ve spent hours editing comments and things, please can someone help me out here.

Help would greatly be appreciated.

K the errors were due to leaving out the php tags.. but still how to run the command line alludes me.

Hey you can use http://www.poedit.net/ to generate an MO file.

@thelandman, I’ve generated the mo file, now where do I put it? I think you asked the same question in another thread that wasn’t answered so hopefully u have the answer ?

Reading over the tut again, do I have to change anything in the bp-custom.php cause I just copied it strait from the tut:

Solution: lol its was just to rename the file to buddypress-(file name).po but thanks for the help
