Disabling buddypress theme.

  • Here is my dilemma, I downloaded and installed the C.C. theme yesterday. I noticed that when I went to log in via the admin bar I would be redirected to a broken url.

Thus I was only able to log into site via a log in (what I am assuming to be widget) which is embedded along the right side of the theme.

Anyway, this afternoon I had the bright idea of activating a feature in one of my plugins that makes the site visible only to members.

Thus, I found the fatal blank screen when trying to log into my account.

Anyway, I disabled all of my plugins so that I could try to log in the back way but my admin bar is still missing.

and that lil widget in the theme provides me with this error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_get_signup_allowed() in /home/prayorg/public_html/wp-content/themes/custom-community/core/cc_widgets.php on line 103

I viewed file in FTP, I am soooooo new to all this and I had no idea what needed to be done over there so I didn’t touch anything.

So I have figured that if I could disable this theme, I may be able to get back into my site, which is @ http://www.pray618.org

Thanks for your help…I have searched high and low…to no avail.e I hate asking repetitive questions but I just didn’t find anything on the net.

Oh…Btw while I am at…Once I get back into my site, how can I disable that log in widget that comes with the theme?

    Thank you.

  • Rename, delete or move the /custom-community/ theme folder, then visit example.com/wp-admin/themes.php.

Scroll to the bottom of your WordPress sidebar where you’ll see a link labeled “Theme Settings”. Click on it, then under the “Buddypress” tab, you’ll see an option to turn the login sidebar on or off.
