I recently disabled the activity stream because our members were commenting on the activity stream and it would not post in the forums. It was too confusing.

I would like to still have an activity stream page which shows all the activity going on within the site, but disable ALL comments and replies to new posts/forum messages on the activity page. If people want to comment, they must click on that link to the blog/forum to respond. That way, I can keep the responses directly within the forum or blog.

Can anyone please tell me how to do this? I searched the message boards but could not find a solution.

Sorry, I’d also like to disable the “Whats New” post updates too. I know these are supposed to mimmick Facebook style status updates, but for some reason my members are posting there instead of on the comments. How can I disable this too?

Would you mind sharing your insight with the rest of us? What did you do so it stills shows all activities, but people can’t leave a comment on the activity page?
Also your website creates and error message when I click on a group, e.g. http://www.spinabifidabulldogs.com/groups/general/forum
