email notifications for replies to blog post and blog comments

It appears as though there are email notifications for everything someone does in buddypress other than when they receive comments on their own blog post, or when they receive comments on one of their comments in a blog post. Is there a reason for this? I have had complaints, you would think that this would be one of the options to receive emails on because the conversation happens on blog post in addition to in forums and in the activity stream.
