Every time I create an account or login, my site flips over to the beta site – how can this happen?

About a week ago, I copied my wp-config from my beta site (on the same server) over my primary wp-config. I manually fixed the database connection but somehow buddypress still finds my beta site whenever I log in or try to create an account.

is there another place that the database is kept? How do I root out that database reference???

also – change the name of your beta folder so that links going there are easier to see
