On the p2 theme page it says, “All buddypress functionality and third party plugins work inside the blog, but you need to enable them sitewide. For example “BuddyPress Oembed”
I’ve done that but I can’t figure out how my bloggers can upload their videos and embed them in their blogposts (not youtube videos but av files or anything else they’ve taken). The videos seem to upload to the gallery but the only thing that posts is a link to download them from the webpage.

Any suggests or is there another plugin that does this for wordpress 3.0.1?

oEmbed is not a video uploading plugin. It relies heavily on 3rd-party sites like YouTube, Vimeo et al.

SInce you’re using P2 to write a blog post, you should try enabling auto-embeds in WordPress:

Make sure “Auto-embeds” is checked.

thanks. auto embeds didn’t work but we were able to succeed with the plugin all in one video back and it is working fine
