How can I remove email verification in BuddyPress?

Also how can I change the default settings of what notifications buddypress emails users?

If you’re willing to support @Brajesh, he’s got a great (premium) solution for this:

It bypasses email verification and logs the new user into the account immediately. The membership is worth the beer money you’d spend. He’s got a lot of valuable stuff I ended up using on my own site.
