Basically I have the ability for replying on a blog post to have the @Mention but how do I combine that with the BuddyPress version of the @Mention. So when a user gets mentioned on a blog post, it will appear on the buddypress part. This way the user whos been replied to will know that they have been mentioned in a post.

If I remember correctly @mention does appear for blog comments, just not on blog posts. I agree, that functionality would be nice and makes sense since it works for all other aspects of a BP-enabled site. There’s a trac ticket for this: https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/2380
