How to assign a different activity stream tab as default

I am looking for anyone who may know how to do this…
I am obviously using BuddyPress, and am using the Followers plugin. With that plugin, a new activity tab “Following” is created.
I have found out how to “hide” some of the other tabs that I do not want to show (All Activity tab, Groups Tabs, Favorites, etc…), and I want to make the default activity stream tab to be the “Following Tab”.
When I am following someone and then click on “Activity” in my main menu, it seems that the “Following” tab is generally the default one, however, when a new user registers for my site and is not following anyone yet and then clicks on “Activity”, it shows the “All Activity Tab” even though I have it hidden from view.
Long story short, I am looking to make the “Following” tab my default activity stream tab.
