How to Make BuddyPress (rooted in a subdomain) Create Blogs in Subfolders

    Howdy,

I’m running both the latest version of WordPress (3.4.1) and the latest version of BuddyPress (1.6.1).

I have directed the BuddyPress root to a subdomain of my main site (community.mysite.com) and am attempting to make it so that when a user creates a new blog it is stored in a subfolder (community.mysite.com/userblog). After doing a little research I installed and activated a multi-network plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/networks-for-wordpress/). But how exactly to use it and make it work with BP is unclear (to me).

Digging around in the Codex a little bit showed me that it is possible for my desired structure to be achieved (community.mysite.com/usersite); however, it also seemed to indicate that my WordPress instalation must be in http://community.mysite.com and not http://mysite.com.

Is there a way to achieve the desired path with the WordPress install in the main site?

    Thanks in advance,
    Ben
