Is this an acceptable way to have 2 BP’s running?

    Would it destroy or cause any problems in the future if I run another WP/BP installation on a subdomain on the same hosting account, with a different MySQL database?

    I’m thinking about running http://test.mydomain.com to play around with new features and customizations, and if all is well, apply the same to the main site.

    Would installing WP/BP on a separate directory, separate MySQL database be 100% independent regardless if it’s running on the same hosting account?
