– how do I add the additional language-strings (from BP 1.2.5) into into my custom language-file from BP 1.2.4.1 ?

So for example, if you are adding just one new language-string into BP-Core, how to add that new string into my already existing customized .po file ?

Not having ever written a translation, that’s beyond my scope. Have you asked on the WP-Polyglots mailing list? I’m sure this is a common question.
