Ok. Maybe I am working too fast on this site … it’s only a week old … but after I added WP MultiSite on Thursday a few things happened that I am just noticing today. Somethings are just “resets” and me remembering what the settings were. And this may be the case for the forums.

Before MultiSite I had a page called “Forums” and in “Groups” there was a “Forum” link in the menu that allowed a group member to post to the Group and have that comment also on the Forum rather than just posting to the Group activity stream.

Post MultiSite all the Forum links are gone! Can anyone tell this tired web guy (who’s working on Christmas morning) what may have changed? If its a bug or a user error? … cuz my brain is just fried.

Multisite and non-multisite uses different tables in the database for storing certain types of data. We’ve addressed this in the current development version, but I think you probably need to re-run the forum setup in the wp-admin — pick “existing install.”

@Paul Gibbs Crazy as I, I see! I do not see an opportunity to “re-run the forum setup in wp-admin” nor a place to “pick existing install.” If I activate bbPress Forums my site crashes and I get this error “Fatal error: Class ‘BB_Query’ not found in /home/lockednd/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-forums.php on line 354”

NEVERMIND! hahaha I followed your guidance, held my breath while I let the site be crashed for a bit, clicked “Forum Setup” and selected “existing install.” and everything came back to normal.

Here’s an oddity related to the above … one of the groups is still disconnected from the forum … do you have an idea on how I can re-connect it? or should i just delete the group and restart it?
