Also, something else to note – there is a Reply button for me to reply to an item already on the Activity screen, and I have tested and confirmed it works correctly. So it is only a problem with the initial Post button not displaying on the Activity Stream
Also I should note that I am using the most recent versions of both WordPress and Buddypress on a custom theme using the Template Pack. I am not currently using BBPress or Multi Site. I have already tried reuploading all the original template files.

C’mon fellas, there’s gotta be someone out there who can throw me a bone on this. I’m totally stumped and can’t really move forward until I fix this.
Ok how about this – I will pay someone who can help me fix this. Whoever knows what they are doing, please get in touch with me and lets get this going. I gotta figure out a solution, more than happy to pay someone for their time.
It’s good etiquette to wait a couple of days before bumping your own threads. I am not 100% if the template pack is up to date. First thing you could do is to try manually copying the BuddyPress-specific templates from BP-Default into (and overwriting) your theme.

Thanks Ray, I actually finally figured it out late last night. It turned out to be a weird CSS issue – the button was getting floated into a place where it wasn’t visible at all. Thanks for checking though, I appreciate it.
