I installed BP to test drive it here http://photo6.templatesagogo.com . I am still trying to get a grip on it but can’t seem to fix a PM error problem.

I added two users. I made them friends. The admin can successfully send a global PM. Neither the admin or user can send a PM to one user only. The auto populate works fine.

The error is “There was an error sending that message, please try again”

I unactivated all the plugins I could to test and no change. I’m using the BP Columns 1.2 theme. I searched the old forum posts but didn’t see anything.

Any ideas?

Update: I installed the “BuddyPress Private Messages for Friends Only” plugin by r-a-y. It throws an error when the Admin account sends a PM “You are not friends with the person(s) you are attempting to send a message to. Your message has not been sent.” but the two accounts are friends. The user can send a PM to the admin successfully and the admin can reply successfully to that PM only.
