Hi, I just got notified by a member that his blog is nowhere to be found and he is correct. (blog: cycletouring.biketravellers.com on biketravellers.com).

He is not in the blog list and his profile shows that he has made no public blogs yet.

But the blog is public, visible to everyone (see url above) and the privacy settings are set to ‘public’ as well. It seems to be the only blog missing from the list.

What settings or other feature/bug could cause this and how can I fix it?

4. Did you upgraded from a previous version of WPMU? If so, from which version?

No

5. Was WPMU functioning properly before installing/upgrading BuddyPress?

Yes

6. Which version of BuddyPress (BP) are you running?

BP 1.1.1, but apparently was already a problem in 1.1

9. Are you using the standard BuddyPress themes or customized themes?

Standard: bp-default

10. Have you modified the core files in any way?

No

11. Do you have any custom functions in bp-custom.php?

No

12. If running bbPress, which version?

No

13. Please provide a list of any errors in your server’s log files.

None

The plot thickens. I noticed that the blog list actually lists the blog, but just when checking the link to http://biketravellers.com/blogs, which lists all. (it is actually the first one).

But strangely enough, when checking the blogs under the letter ‘C’, it does not show up.

Also still his profile -> blogs still mentions that he has created no public blogs yet, while the blog is definitely public. what could cause all of this?

Well, I found that in the BP-blogmeta table the blog in question only had one row (last_activity), but not the Name and Description fields, so I added them manually and now they appear.

I have no idea why they were not added in the first place though…

Oh, and he was also missing from the bp_user_blogs table, have added that too and now his profile shows his blog.

I have the same problem – in my case the blog is not missing from the `wp_bp_user_blogs_blogmeta` table, but it IS missing from the wp_bp_user_blogs table.

I’m having trouble figuring out how to put it in. I can find the user_id and the blog_id but what’s the id itself? Can I just create an id?
