Removed default ’admin’ now can’t set Group Admins / block users
-
Following a site hack, I had to remove the default WP account ‘admin’ – and since then I have been logging into the site using my other named Administrator-level account. However, I am now unable to make another user be a Group Admin (or block users etc). Is there some kind of special privileges that come with the default ‘admin’ account which don’t exist even if you select Role: Administrator when making a user account?
I am able to add plugins etc and do WP admin functions, but not administer BuddyPress Groups. How can I get this working?
