I apologize if this has been answered already. I am very new at this and do not know if I am wording question correctly. I would like to remove the gap between the header and the body of the page. Any help would be nice.

You need to edit your style.css and add/modify the rule for `#header`.
Try this:

#header{margin-bottom: 0;}
`

Thanks for the help Stas. I had to actually edit the _inc/css/default.css. The style.css seems to be pointing to that file.

@bigleeroy FYI – Changes that you make to bp-default will be overwritten when you upgrade BuddyPress. Build a child theme to make sure that you don’t lose your customizations: https://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/
