some people have trouble registering…

I’ve gotten some emails saying that some people have trouble registering. They get a message like this:

“Oops this link appears to be broken”.

    Any ideas?

    Wordpress 2.9.2
    Buddypress 1.2.3

This happens just as soon as they click “register”.

Still having problems with this. By the way, I upgraded to the latest Buddypress and some people are still having trouble registering.

Here is a message I got today:

“After I filled out all fields and clicked “Complete” button, I got “The webpage cannot be found HTTP 404″ page. FYI, I’m using Win XP and IE 7.”

Can anyone please help me? This is a big issue.

I’m still getting complaints from users. Any direction at all would be appreciated.

Hate to keep bumping this thread but this is a big problem for me on the site. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Sounds like your server is running on IIS.

If so, read this for a potential solution:

    Thanks RAY!

I read through the solution but I was wondering, how can I tell whether or not my server is running on IIS? Sorry, I’m new to this!

You’ll have to ask a system administrator; right now, I’m speculating that your server is running on IIS, I could be wrong!
