User profile field allows ‘, how do I sanitize?

Hey, I’ve been doing some final testing and I realized that custom profile fields allow a lot of characters including ‘, do you know anyway I can sanitize this? thanks!

In what situations do you need to remove ‘ characters? They should be safe throughout BuddyPress, otherwise it’s a bug.
