Hello, I’ve installed and worked with buddypress in the past and I’m currently working with a fresh install. I’m using WP 3.0 and have enabled the multi-site functionality. Then I installed buddypress, activated the default theme, and set the permalinks to default.

When logged in as the administrator all the buddypress menu links are available from the back end, but when I navigate to the activity page on the front end i’m not logged,

Then if I click on the log in link i’m navigated to the wordpress login.php even though I’m already logged in. If I log in again it send me to the home page, but I’m still logged out.

If I then manually navigate via url to the site/wp-admin I’m logged in and all the buddypress nav links are available as they should be.

Any idea what might be happening here? Note: I’m setting up a cloud hosting account this weekend and I have a feeling that this bug will go away when I do, but I’d still like to understand what’s happening.

Clear your cookies, disable BuddyPress. If the problem is still there, that indicates that you have a lower-level problem with your multisite installation.
