    Well I’m new to WordPress and Buddypress and have run into this error while trying to activate the plugin:

    Warning: require(/home/www/nintendotower.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-friends/bp-friends-classes.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/nintendotower.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-friends.php on line 9

    Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/www/nintendotower.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-friends/bp-friends-classes.php’ (include_path=’.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php’) in /home/www/nintendotower.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-friends.php on line 9

    Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

    Well inserting the code above only broke the site. However after removing this is the error I get….

    Warning: require_once(/home/www/nintendotower.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/nintendotower.com/wp-content/plugins/forum/bp-loader.php on line 19

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/www/nintendotower.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core.php’ (include_path=’.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php’) in /home/www/nintendotower.com/wp-content/plugins/forum/bp-loader.php on line 19

    Oh joy..

    Replace what exactly?

    Pay no attention to Stacy. The person gives potentially harmful advice.

    What you should try doing is re-installing BuddyPress. Re-upload a fresh copy and try again.

    Thank you Ray, the code did seem questionable with phrases like “key_logger”. Haha.

    Anyways when I use FTPZilla, I get a few “Failed Transfers”, is there any way to avoid this?

    Well I uploaded all the individual files that failed originally, but i instantly get a 500 internal server error.

    I renamed the buddypress folder and the issue dissapeared, so buddypress is definitely the instigator of the promblem,

    Had this same problem, and my solution was that I didn’t have the plugin files inside a folder called “buddypress”. Rather, they were all loose in the “plugins” folder. Once I made a “buddypress” folder in “plugins” and dropped the files in, all I had to do was reload the admin page and try again. Smooth sailing from that point on.
