I’m running WP3.1 with a BP compatible theme but just can’t get it to work.
1) I have a manual link in my menu that points to : http://someia.org/index.php/groups/ – so far so good.
2) If I click on the group – it can’t find it – 404.
3) If I manually insert “index.php” in the URL it finds it: http://someia.org/index.php/groups/privacy-policy-group/
4) WP URL and site URL are http://someia.org
5) If I change the site URL to http://someia.org/index.php I can create a group etc. But the rest of the links obviously no longer work.
Not sure where else I can look…

I looked at your site, and it looks like you’ve figured it out. Would you share your solution?

I see hundreds of posts with this problem for buddypress running under IIS not adding index.php in the link, but most of the people just throw at you suggestions without reading posts – mainly they fail to understand that IIS is not the same as Apachi.
