Let’s try again (error 500)

Last post the content didn’t take… ?

So upon installing BP i’m prompted to change the permalink. When i do so i get error 500 server problem.

I’ve verified .htaccess is correct, enabled mod rewrite, and verified apache config has directory configured to enable “Options FollowSymLinks” & “AllowOverride All”.

I’m running wp and buddy press with no other plugins on my local winxp machine. I’m using Xampp.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
