Would it be wise to install in the following order?

1. Install WordPress 3.0.1
2. Make all the necessary revisions to the .htaccess and wp-config.php files to convert it into a network of blogs
3. Install Buddypress 1.2.5.2
4. Install Rockettheme Affinity 1.2 for BP
5. Install WP and BP plugins
6. Create groups, members, forums, etc.

I am beginning to wonder because my Rockettheme Affinity child theme for BP was working well with the latest BP and WP, until I decided to convert the site to a multi-site blogs project.

Any advice appreciated,

My suggestion is 1, 2, 3, 6 — make sure everything works using default theme — then 5, 4
