Problem with image upload

Hi,
I have installed the latest 1.2.3 version and i still have the image upload problem which was in the previous version.
When I upload my photo in avatar, it comes out blank. I’m with godaddy hosting. I need this site up in running by this weekend. Appreciate if i get solution before weekend. Thanks.
