Hi i hope i am posting this in the right section. I am looking for a way to allow users from a email site to be able to sign up and login using their info from that site like as if i was using a fb connect plugin with my WordPress buddypress set up. me and the owner of the email site have been searching for a answer on the net or even looked at a few fb connect plugins seeing it it was just a quick switch of some info to make this work but nothing. i think if some one even wanted to take the time to make a universal pluggin that allowed two site to link up like this and act like the fb connect plugins it would be very useful esp for any one who even has a multitude of sites and not all of them are WordPress related and allow their user base to have just one login to access mulitpal sites.

You need to hook on to the authenticate functions in WordPress:
