BP-Places, GeoPositioning as a global / core feature

i would love to see that BP would include an functionalitie or maybe an API for Geopositions / Places.
This feature could base on one of the exisiting plugins for example gpress. It would be amazing to see that different plugins could use the same saved places (for example gpress, BP-Links and JE Event System).
