My members are not receiving email notifications for new forum topics/replies in BuddyPress groups forums.? How can I fix this?

I am using the old buddypress forum. Is there a way to bring all my current topics to bbpress? I’d rather keep my current set up with buddypress. I just want my users to be abl to get email notices when somebody responds. I guess I have two questions.
1. Does buddypress offer email responses built in?
2. Any suggestions?

My members are not receiving emails when a user replies to one of their topics.? I thought this was built in to buddypress? How would I fix. If it is not built in to buddypress, is there a plug in that would solve this issue.

You have the button at the bottom of this ‘New Topic’. How did you do this?
