Hi, How can I add a new tab to that horizontal bar located at the top of activity page on index problematically? I can do that by editing template files manually but I’m looking the other ways. I need this to make a new tab and when clicked show my forum index and not redirect […]

Hi,
I think its vital for social communities to log users IP address for further inspection and security reasons. So how can we log users IPs upon log-in or registration?

I also have one more simple suggestion for you and that is logging IP address of registered users. I think it’s vital for every admin who is running his/her site based on what we’ve discussed before.

Well, I think that’s great if you could implement the above scenario in your plug-in for what I’ve explained. I think BuddyPress is suffers by lack of this feature.
Thanks.
-
just so i am clear. you want the following scenario
1) User registers
2) Clicks a link to validate their email
3) Admin gets an email that says a user has validated their email
4) Admin goes to wp-admin to see the user validation and has the option fully activate the account.is that correct?

sounds good. i should be able to hoo k into the functions to make this work

I think this plug-in is primarily not for what I have in my mind. as you know in some other social sites new users have to submit registration form and then confirm their emails and then wait for admin to do final activation.
Well, correct me if I’m wrong. WP Activate Users plug-in is for new users who have problem in confirming their email…[Read more]

thank you for clarifying.
yes. in your scenario the admin activation would take the place of my plugin.
is there an issue that you would like changed in the process that you described? or were you just clarifying what my plugin does?

I think it’s also very useful if you could make “WP Activate Users” to something that we could use for activating new members. I mean like sites where users get activated manually upon registration by admin.
-
Thanks for the input.
So on both of my test installs (buddypress and buddypressMU), when i go to add a new user, they are input into the database with the correct value by default to make them activated. can you explain your situation a bit more so that i could attempt to accommodate it for you in my plugin?
Thanks
Matt

Hi,
What should be the name of translated files and where should they be? I did make *.mo and *.po files and put them in “cubepoints-buddypress-integrationincludeslanguages” folder, but nothing happens. what should I do?
Thanks in Advance.

@nuprn1 Hi, rich,
I’m not sure if it’s implemented or not by someone else. I think it’s very useful for site admins to see posters IP in activity stream. so I suggest this nice and handy feature for your next plug-ins.
Thanks.

@slaFFik Thanks for making CD Bubble Avatar plug-in. here are language files for Persian if you like to add it to plug-in package:

As you asked, I disabled “BuddyPress Activity Stream Bump to Top” plug-in and sadly those terms remained!
I also have “BuddyPress Forums Extras”, “BuddyPress Skeleton Component”, “BP Group Management” and BuddyPress 1.2.3 installed.

strange – looking at my code I do not see anything that would echo the activity->type to the screen. If you disable bump-to-top does the activity->type disappear?
Do you have any other plugins installed? anything that would filter on bp_get_activity_action, bp_insert_activity_meta or bp_activity_time_since?

skeleton component is for development use – that might be causing the problem
