Since sub domain structure is not possible I have made wordpress multisite in directory structure in my website. But I try to implement buddypress plugin.. buddypress functionalities are not working.. how to make it work.. ?

I made my multi-sites in directory structures… Since I made it in directory structure the buddy-press functionalities are not working.. Is there anyway to make the directory structure to subdomain structure? or is it any way to make work the buddypress functionalities in directory structure itself?

I am using wordpress 3.0. I have enabled the user to register by using superadmin=> options=> Registration Settings=> Allow new registrations=> User accounts may be registered. I have made wordpress multisite in my website.
But I try to implement buddypress plugin.. Plugin installed and activated. But the buddypress functionality like registration member, message forum is not working. How to I make it work in multisite environment.
