I didn’t knew that wordpress plugins are compatible for buddypress.

If this is the case, why do buddypress has different plugin directory at https://buddypress.org/extend/plugins/ ?

OpenId can be a huge game changer. If users can register easily, then community can grow really fast.

I am trying a local install and getting this error – Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_user_meta()
whenever I try to activate this plugin.

If i cant install, how do I test ?

Of course BP is one of the best social network plugin and its quickly evolving into separate entity, but I am bit skeptic about the user engagement a forum offers vis-a-vis BP . So between, forum vs BuddyPress, who wins?
