@brutalregime Thanks for the pointer to Suffusion. Did you figure how to get rid of the “upgrade your theme to buddypress” warning? I’ve installed the Suffusion BP pack, and even run the BP theme upgrader plugin. No joy.

I’m getting the same results—adding the suggested remove_action causes registration to redirect to the front page.
