@svenl77 Thought I’d bring this to your attention. Just a minor bug I reckon. %%sitename%% does not translate properly a site name with an ampersand character. e.g a blog name of “jack & jill ” will be translated as ” jack & amp ; jill “. (minus the spaces) Maybe it’s something you changed? The older […]

Private message thread can be pretty long if you keep replying to the same message thread. Is there a way to break this into pages? More like a forum topic thread.
Anyone done it?
Any help would be much appreciated. -

When I expand the @username1 link on a user’s profile I get this: @username1 is a unique identifier for username2 that you can type into any message on this site. username2 will be sent a notification and a link to your message any time you use it. different user names belonging to different individuals. WP 3.0.1 BP […]

The members are never notified since the activity component is turned off. But the message is misleading. I’d say it’s a minor “bug”.

Had a workaround. I uninstalled the plugin, deleted the group document’s values in the wp options databse and the group-documents folder in wp-uploads. Re-activated the plugin and it worked out O.K

@nuprn1 Which table in particular? I can see wp_bb_meta has uri http:///wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-forums/bbpress/
Is that the right value?
The bb-config file exists

After migrating a site, WP 2.9.2, BP 1.2.5.2 all forum topics disappeared. Error message: “Sorry, there were no forum topics found.” I have done the buddypress–>forum setup configuration to point it to the new bb-config.php path. Creating a new topic gives this error “There was an error when creating the topic” Plugins: Forums Extras in […]

@hnla My first reaction was to mark them as spam then delete from BP admin bar. Marked as spam successfully but not deleting didn’t work 2 cases. Maybe a straight delete works, I will try that next. They were successfuly deleted though from the WP back-end under “Users” and logged out. Their forum posts are not […]

@Paul Gibbs When I delete a user it says: Error, try again later. The user is still logged in and can still post. @hnla From the WP backend, marking the user as blocked doesn’t help either. I was a bit cautious about deleting the account from the WP-back end, since I want the e-mail address blacklisted as […]

Marking a user as a spammer, only disables their next login – according to what I have found out. WP 2.9.2 BP 1.2.5.2 They can still post on forums and send PMS & Friend requests in the current session.
Is there a way to end their session? Forcibly log them off?

I have also had that Deprecated error when I was running it on WAMPP with BP1.2.4 and WP 2.9.2 Seemed to have been fine on XAMPP. When I upgraded to BP 1.2.5.2 the plugin wont work. I have tried de-activating and reactivating but no change. I am guessing it does make changes to one of […]
