For some reason – the Facebook login button appears on my login form on the front page of my site cep.org.au, but not on the sign in form : http://cep.org.au/wp-login.php

  I`m new to BuddyPress, still don`t quite understand why groups and forums are separate… this will be confusing to my users.

I looked at that plugin too. And it does a good job of restricting the whole site to only people who are logged. But what if you want to have one (or more) blogs that are public facing, wiht just the student’s work and details available to logged in users?

I would lime to share my solution for securing BP and wordpress multi-site for education settings. I have two projects (pingmusic.com.au and ekids.org.au) that Involve students that are in primary or secondary school. Actually – I think I might have done the same thing with the wp-cache plugin. turned it on and then turned it off. That must have been what happened.

I’d like to know more about querying groups through the BP API. I put together my own SQL query to get the last 5 activity updates from a group. I was unsure how to pass the required variables into which function to achieve this through a BP call.

I thought that I might post the site that I’m working on. It is http://pingmusic.com.au
It is a music education site built on WordPress 3.0 and BP 1.2.5. Heavily modified child theme of the default BuddyPress them (modified @modemloopers bp-widget theme), and all blogs are child themes of the new WP default Twenty Ten.
