OK my mistake. I thought you said with 1.1.7.2 events would show in the profile.
My private messages don’t show either and I thought these could be related issues.

Appreciate your help man, but yea it doesn’t seem to be a server issue. The messages are being sent and received ok. They show in the email notifications and the site notifications, they just don’t display where they should in the inbox or sent box. Again thanks for helping me.

Guess you’ll have to wait for one of the gurus…
Wonder if it is related to this track? There are a number of fixes coming related to private message in the new BP release (5 days overdue)

hmm no related errors in the log. still just says “Sorry, no messages found” even though there are messages.

Try going to your “default” mail box in the cpanel and see if there are any server/mail related issues there… if it is getting bounced it will show up there… provided you don’t have the default e-mail turned off.

Thanks for the reply man. Everything is updated and I am using the default theme. I tried disabling plugins but no dice. Also notice that I can’t install through the back end for some reason, I have to do it manually for it to go through. Only thing that I changed really was I modified the Group feature and it is now Clan. Its a gaming site.…[Read more]

Check your error log on your server… it will probably provide you clues… if you are using cpanel you can see this from within it choose “error logs”

hmmm it works ok on one site but not the other. i noticed that the site that doesn’t show events in profile is the same site that doesn’t show the inbox or sent box.
would you have a clue as to what might cause this?

Just a couple of quick questions: What version of BP, WP, PHP, THEME, etc. are you using. If it’s anything but current, your issues may have been resolved in an update… also it very well could be your theme….
First thing I try -every time:
1. Disable all plugins (Except BuddyPress):
2. Enable Default Theme:

saw you released 1.1.7. I am ok with just 4 classifiers at the moment. did this fix the events not showing in the profiles or is that coming still?

Events in the profile will be displayed – after the departure from the underlying theme (ie, no need to copy the folder events). About private messages – you can specify what it was about?

How about trying to use a html editor to just control which words you wanna hyperlink.
