Make sure to check ‘Don’t cache pages for logged in users’ when using WP Super Cache.

Also, WP Super Cache appears to only really work when you leave it in Half On mode.

I also try to exclude /feed/ from the Rejected URI table half-way down the plugin.

I’m curious to find out about this as well. Does just adding the /forums/ moniker to Rejected URIs box?
