grrrrr… okay my bad, i had a wrong path to the media folder in settings, fixed that and got my avatars back.

i also uploaded something using Media uploader, and it looks like it tries to upload the file, http://www.mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/scorpio.jpg but there is nothing in the uploads folder and if i try to past the url in the browser, i get a page not found.

fresh new install of wordpress and buddypress. if i try uploading an avatart, it shows a white box only and doesn’t seem to be uploading images although it does not give any error messages about paths not correct.
