Started with the guide for BP-Tricks.. but due to the nature of BuddyPress some stuff are bound to cause trouble.. like database and page caching 🙂

Idea one is a good one. Idea two.. only in very specific cases. I think idea 1 should be created though 🙂

We (me and someone else BP experienced) are working on something that will do this, and a lot more.. We’re doing our best to get it finished early next year or so 🙂

@pcwriter why don’t you just use percentages? If you have a fluid width and set the width of the negative margin-right and the content width.

For example:

div#sidebar {
width: 25%;
float: left;
}

div.content {
float: right;
margin-right: 26%;
}

The code above won’t work, but it’s to give you an idea!

@twig you can disable commenting on forum topics and blog posts by going to your BuddyPress options in your admin panel 🙂

@aweathers; this might help… http://bp-tricks.com/featured/new-theme-bp-default-member-blog-multisite-communties/. Not sure if you want this specifically, but it allows you to have matching themes across your blogs in your install.. you can’t run BuddyPress on them though..
