@juanpons14 Thanks for the code; just started using it on my site. One thing I’ve noticed is that the “Load More” link at the bottom of the results doesn’t work – any thoughts on how to resolve?
I’d like this feature as well, as the only way to send direct messages to other users is if they’re friends. I need a way to either automatically make everybody friends with each other or, conversely, allow messages to be sent to people even if they aren’t friends.
Any luck on this? It’s possible to get video to display inline using the “oEmbed for BuddyPress” plug-in, but I have yet to figure out a way to do the same for images.
BTW, you have to have at least one page created in order for this “front page displays” option to appear. Even if you don’t use pages in your BP site, just create a temporary one, set the front page to Activity Page and then delete the temp page; your site will still kick users to the Activity page by default.
I figured it’d be a BP thing, as the AD Integration plug-in is BP-agnostic and it works correctly w/ WordPress (as proven by the fact that the user accounts are populated).
In light of that, maybe I should rephrase the question to ask if there’s a way that BP could read more than shortname from the WordPress user account when creating the account profile.
