Hmmmm. It seems that it will work with any new pages I’ve created, UNTIL I make a new page the page where blog entries are posted. When I set a new page to be the default page for posts, the Widget Logic specifying that particular widgets appear or be excluded from the sidebar is automatically ignored.
That’s my question as well – works in the default theme in 1.2 except on the buddypress generated pages. Sadly, I’ve had no luck uncovering the right logic to use!
I had this same error and realized it was a conflict with a plugin that I had installed – the BuddyPress Template Pack. I’d been trying to use the Thematic theme, and had the plugin installed for that (however, could not get the BuddyPress menu to show up in this theme). When I switched over to BuddyMatic, it all went white until I deleted that Template Pack plugin. After that, however, the page has been littered with errors that I have not resolved. But it does resolve the empty page.
Thanks, r-a-y! I definitely want there to be a blog that’s exclusively the main site’s, and then for community members to have their own “journals” so to speak (similar to the way that Tasty Kitchen – tastykitchen.com – allows users to post recipes within their own “recipe boxes”). I’m guessing that’s more like them having their own individual blogs? I’m sorry for the lack of knowledge; this world is all new to me!
