Glad BuddyPress has a gallery. i have a background in sales, and I can spot a winner website right away. People usually want to know 3 things . .ASAP:

1) what something is ( aka “show and tell” )
2) how does that benefit me? (key word = benefit)
3) Prove or demonstrate that.

I have had the same or similar problem. No group forum posts.

I just tried an experiment. I added a group, but made it completely PUBLIC.

Then I created forum inside that group and added a post to that group’s forum.

Wallah! The GROUP forums now has posts.
