It’s not a plugin. It’s just a customised search.php template. Basically, we have each component template loop on it, and pass each the search parameter. The rest is just making it look like a grid. It’s very simple.

What, exactly, isn’t consistent or doesn’t work? Were you able to pinpoint? I updated it from that source for BP 1.5 (I think), and minimised it without edits.

Certainly, all the other bbPress tables should not have been deleted. We deleted zero tables from 1.2.10 to 1.5, and we wouldn’t ever add or remove any of the bb_ tables.

Hmm. If it’s not appearing, you’re telling me that your browser does have JavaScript enabled, but either isn’t loading the JavaScript from the Default theme, or that it’s causing an error.

Themes always go in WordPress’ /wp-content/themes/ folder.

I believe the best way is to not update BPDefault in 1.7, keep it bundled with core (for now), and ship an all-new theme. BPDefault is pretty old now.

For root-level links, you need to be using bp_get_root_slug( ‘members’ ) in your templates.
