I’m not aware of any plugins that do this. It’s a bit tricky from a technical perspective – you need to configure special email addresses, get WordPress to monitor them somehow, and so on.

I think you got your version numbers messed up; you must be on 1.5 or 1.5.1 as it’s the first versions where the repair button comes in. Do you know which version of BuddyPress you were on previously? Really 1.0?
