To clarify – what username are you trying to search for? And is that the user’s profile name, or their login_name, or what?

The URLs are keyed off the user_nicename column in the wp_users table by default, or it can be switched to use user_login. You could try changing the user_nicenames and seeing what impact that has.

BuddyPress has always used bbPress; you mean to refer to version 2.0, the plugin, of bbPress. BuddyPress 1.5 and bbPress 2.0 work together just fine, and we’ll complete the integration in BuddyPress 1.6.

Are you running a localised version of BuddyPress, or have you renamed the default group or that default name profile field?

Avatars cannot be uploaded on to BuddyPress.org, this is intentional.

bbPress (plugin) will see further integration in BuddyPress 1.6 & bbPress 2.1.

This is an unhelpful thread. Avatars uploads do not and have never been intended to be supported on BuddyPress.org. Use a gravatar if it matters to you.

@katieben are you using multisite? Are you logging in as a site admin when trying this? And I assume you’re using Welcome Pack 3.x ?

That file mostly lives in bp-members-signup.php now, but it contains stuff used in more places than just the registration screen. You could try unhooking everything in a plugin.
