Probably caused indirectly by a plugin. What theme and plugins are you running?

It should work. Does the activity page work if you set blog posts back to your front page, and then try to visit whichever page you’ve mapped to activity?

You need to update your theme. The upload during registration option was removed in BuddyPress 1.5’s default theme.

On which site? This one? Yours?

You probably need a SMTP email plugin

$content_width is a standard WordPress theme variable and mainly controls the width of embeds and other media such as images. You’ll see it set something similar in any well-written WordPress theme.
