We saw this in an early beta release, but no-one could recreate it. Are you all using domain mapping? Can you all share some more information about your WordPress, what plugins you have, version numbers, etc

That form posts by javascript. You’ve not loaded the default javascript file (global.js) in your theme. I think this is probably the problem; see that your filters on your member directory etc don’t work either.

WordPress does that to slugs when there’s already a pre-existing slug with the same name; it adds a number to differentiate.

I doubt that it’s BuddyPress unless you are up for turning plugins off one-by-one and figuring out what’s going on.

Look in your web server’s error log to understand why the white screen is happening.

Can you both check what’s in your web server’s error log for any helpful looking error messages. Ask your host if you don’t know how to do this.

We all develop locally, so it’s nothing to do with that. WAMP is also a fairly common environment, I was just trying to discount possible problems with IIS or less common server configurations.

It should work. Did you set BP_ROOT_BLOG in your wp-config.php to the correct site ID?
